Ideally, you would come either once a week, or once every two weeks for maximum progress. However, I accept drop-in, or monthly students as well.

I teach kids 13 and over who are passionate about becoming better singers. Lessons for kids are generally 30 minutes in length. If you are a minor, please have your parent or guardian reach out.

Many people are told things like this, and unfortunately they can leave a very strong impression on someone. This is a complex topic, because to really get into it, we have to define “Tone-Deaf”, and also figure out if they person was correct, let alone appropriate in saying so. I have only met about 10 students (I’ve taught thousands of lessons) who were literally tone deaf - they could not sing the same note that played for them on the piano. I’ve also worked with about 50 other students if not more who thought they were because someone said so, but they were not.
Sometimes the issue is less with hearing, and more with understanding your voice. This is one aspect of training.
To answer your question — if it turns out you are fully tone deaf, you won’t be able to progress as a singer in any sort of professional way. But you can always sing for fun.

Yes, I’ve taught many singer-songwriters over the years in the area of vocal technique and performance.

No. I do specialize in what I call “Rock Mix” which is a whiny, forward growl that works great for pop-rock, but it is not a throat-based growl-scream.
