In this class, David peels back the curtain on voice over and teaches you exactly what it's all about: What are the Genres in voice over? How do I become a voice actor? Do I have to have an interesting voice? Do I have to be able to act? ...and much more. More than anything you will have clarity on what it takes to move forward, and how.
Commercial Voice Acting (Level 1)
7PM On Mondays, Starting April 23rd
Class Runs 2 to 3 Hours depending on class size (MAX 6 PEOPLE)
This class is for actors as well as non-actors who are looking for a solid basic foundation in Commercial Voice Over.
Plenty of time in the booth working with real commercial voice over copy. Learn crucial tricks of the trade. Topics : Inflection, 'Audience of One', persona, branding, dialogues, announcer spots, real person spots.
Level One; requirement : Intro To Voice Over or similar class
MAXIMUM CLASS SIZE 6
SIX WEDNESDAYS Starting May 9th, 7pm
Class Runs 2 to 3 Hours depending on number of students. We will let you know what to expect prior to the first class.
All Levels , On-Going in 6 Week Intervals ; Pre-Req: Intro to Voice Over.
Character Voice Over for Cartoons and Video Games
Develop Crucial Voice Acting and Acting Skills geared toward increasing sensorial imagination, authenticity, emotional connection and vocal flexibility.
6 Person Maximum
Voice ACTING: Creating Circumstances, Relationships and Stakes. Also work on voice technique and voice character work.
Other topics: Cold Reads, Dialogues, Imagination Work, Inflection work, Spontaneity. TONS OF BOOTH TIME!!

MAX CLASS SIZE - 6
INTERMEDIATE COMMERCIAL VOICE OVER
Prerequisite: Level One Commercial Voice Over over similar class, approved by David Babich.
Topics: Continuing work on "Real Person", "Real Announcer" and Announcer-Announcer, as well as dialogues, more complex personas, cold reading, brand analysis, ad-writing, mimicry.

Commercial Level Three, with Demo Option
$649 (class plus demo)
You have completed Commercial Level 1 and 2, and are starting to feel ready to make a demo. This class will be geared toward honing in on the copy and attitudes that will make your demo rock. We will also work on advanced voice over techniques such as voice texture, persona and mic techniques.
DEMO OPTION: * For an additional fee ($350), David will edit your best takes into a broadcast quality demo with music and effects. (1 Minute)
* It is expected that we will get the needed winning takes during class. Additional takes outside of class will be subject to an additional fee.
Self-Audition and Self-Direction

This class includes 2 Mock Auditions which you will record remotely, and then receive live feedback in class. You will also learn editing and submission techniques. During the 2nd half of the class, you will receive new copy and do a read in the booth, a listen back in the control room and then do self-directed takes while receiving feedback on your process. This class is perfect for anyone who wants an outside opinion about their workflow, self-direction or recording sound.
CLASS is 1-3 Hours depending on attendance.
FOUR STUDENTS MAXIMUM
In this unique workshop, David will send mock auditions to the class members and have them submit from their home studios, or other recording device such as a cell phone voice recorder. In class, we will listen to each audition for AUDIO QUALITY, EDITING, SLATING, PERFORMANCE, and Choice of Takes.
