After studying the art of voice acting, being represented by top agents, and booking numerous voice over jobs, I have learned a lot about how to make a piece of
copy come to life. Furthermore, I enjoy imparting my knowledge! My coaching is
hands on; it involves working on mic, recording spots, and receiving in depth
critiques. We will work in any
genre you are interested in honing in on, and I can advise you on this
topic. Whether you are a beginner,
or an experienced voice actor, you will benefit from my insights. Remember, voice acting, is in fact,
acting. They just can’t see
you. Because of this, much of the
coaching you will receive will be in the realm of acting, and we will often
work off-mic to address some aspects of acting technique. The main voice over genres are:

Voice Over Coaching is $65/hr or $230 for 4 sessions paid in
advance.

Voice Over Demo Production – Don’t Have to Sell Your Car
When you are ready to look for an agent, you will need a
demo. I have been providing this
service for the last 7 years. I am
co-founder of a demo production company called Mouthnoise Media. My partner, Dorsey Dunn has taken some
time off of this collaboration and now I am producing on my own. I have a professional set-up for
recording as well as post-production and I am able to generate a professional
product at an extremely reasonable rate. The reasons I will not charge you as much as the ‘Big
Voice Over’ studios are:
1)
I’m a nice guy
2)
This is a home studio; not glamorous, but still sounds great.
3)
Very little overhead, no staff etc.
My demo production is charged at a flat rate which is
negotiated before the project starts. It is based on an hourly rate of
$65. The service I am providing
includes:
Studio Time
Expert V/O Direction
Recording/Engineering
Editing w/ sound efx and music
Mastering
Voice over demos can range from 1-4 minutes in length. An approximate general quote for my demo
production is $350 for the 1st minute and $200 for each additional
minute. So your classic 3-minute
demo which covers multiple genres will cost approximately $750. There are studios in L.A. and
S.F. charging twice this rate FYI!
This rate does not include script consultation or additional coaching,
billed at $65/hr.
